This Outside Christmas Decorations article is all about spreading a little Christmas cheer to a world in much need of some.  The acknowledgment of this beloved holiday continues to be under attack for its ties to Christianity.  More and more retailers, swayed by a very loud minority, try to walk a fine line by directly referencing Christmas as little as possible, if at all.  This is incredibly hypocritical when you understand that the lion-share of their beloved holiday profits are tied directly to Christmas morning or “December 25th,” as their shipping/shopping-days-left promotions articulate; so non-cleverly I might add.  They gamble on the belief that most who embrace Christmas will take the “high-road” and not make a big deal about the lack of acknowledgment.  Meanwhile, they show more loyalty to a militant-minority, hell-bent on drawing negative attention to the existence of such an “exclusive” holiday.  The truth is that no matter where you stand in your faith, you can enthusiastically and without compromise, wish the world a Merry Christmas and still overwhelmingly receive a positive response.

So how do we take the “high-road,” while also showing our support for Christmas?  First, never miss an opportunity to genuinely wish everyone a “Merry Christmas.”  And if you do happen to run into a Christmas Grinch, just smile and turn the other cheek.  Don’t get caught up in a pointless, negative debate; that’s just what they want. Represent the true spirit of Christmas by sincerely being all the more nice to them, effectively giving them the stocking of a hot lump of coal that they so richly deserve.  Secondly, carry a little extra cash to drop in the Salvation Army can, and anonymously do something special for anyone.  Doing things for recognition has become so commonplace, how beautiful and magical it is when you do something for someone in a mysterious and anonymous way.  Finally, beautifully decorate your outdoor Christmas decor with some outside Christmas decorations that proclaim to all who pass by, that you sincerely wish goodwill to all mankind in the words of; “Merry Christmas!”
